Explora la reconstrucción permanente de la identidad a través de objetos cotidianos, experiencias y lugares que nos definen.

Inspirado en la arqueología de la vida cotidiana, propone un método de recolección y análisis de lo cotidiano como testimonio de quiénes somos. La identidad se transforma ante cambios geográficos, temporales y culturales, acumulando, descartando y resignificando lo vivido.

El análisis de la acumulación de detalles que componen un todo, tiene la intención de examinar el proceso de creación de identidad a partir de elementos cotidianos para entender el inicio del proceso de conformación identitaria en el contexto cultural primario, y las modificaciones que van sucediendo en la medida que vamos incorporando otras acciones e interactuando con otros contextos.

De este modo, buscando y rescatando fotografías de mi archivo personal, se seleccionaron, limpiaron, documentaron y catalogaron, convirtiéndose en un inventario.
La acumulación de objetos y lugares se presenta en la obra como una aglutinación de capas. Por este motivo decidí separar las capas de color de las fotografías en las que éstas se componen de uno o varios colores entre cian, magenta, amarillo y gris.

La obra aspira a establecer un vínculo reflexivo con el espectador, invitándole a encontrar en este conjunto de objetos y lugares una conexión que pueda resignificar como parte de su propia identidad.

INVENTORY OF THINGS

This project are a serie of photographs that explores the permanent reconstruction of identity through everyday objects, experiences and places that define us.

Inspired by the archaeology of everyday life, it proposes a method of collecting and analyzing the everyday as a testimony of who we are. Identity is transformed in the face of geographical, temporal and cultural changes, accumulating, discarding and resignifying what we have lived.

The analysis of the accumulation of details that make up a whole is intended to examine the process of identity creation from everyday elements to understand the beginning of the process of identity formation in the primary cultural context, and the modifications that occur as we incorporate other actions and interact with other contexts.

In this way, searching and rescuing photographs from my personal archive, they were selected, cleaned, documented and catalogued, becoming an inventory.
The accumulation of objects and places are presented in the work as an agglutination of layers. For this reason I decided to separate the color layers of the photographs in which the photographs are composed of one or more colors between cyan, magenta, yellow and gray.

The work aims to establish a reflexive link with the viewer, inviting him to find in this set of objects and places a connection that he can re-signify as part of his own identity.
